What Clargus is
The short version, from the top.
What is Clargus?
Clargus is a compounding stock market intelligence platform for investors and investment teams. It helps you build and maintain investment strategies that compound, by continuously mapping how market changes influence companies and portfolios and automating the research behind them. The result is clarity: what matters, when it matters.
What does "compounding" mean?
Your strategies get better the longer they run. Every automation and discovery run writes back to its strategy's brain, so the next run starts where the last one ended, not from zero. Three things grow:
The map of the market. Every change is followed to everything it touches, and the map Clargus keeps gets richer as events and filings arrive.
Each strategy's brain. What the strategy holds and why, the theses it is testing, and what you keep or dismiss. It learns your preferences from every interaction and finds conflicts between your decisions.
The record. What every strategy, thesis and automation surfaced, and when. Over time it shows which research was right, and how each strategy performed.
Your work compounds too. Instead of performing every analysis by hand, you automate it once and it keeps running, so you work far more efficiently and cover far more ground. Your job shifts from filtering information to directing the research, the way programmers no longer write every line of code by hand.
How is that different from other research tools?
Most research tools give you an answer and forget it. Clargus keeps everything it learns, and it shows you the names a change reaches, including ones you were not watching. What AI did for coding, done for investment research.
What does "clarity" mean here?
The market is noisy. Clargus turns it into a short list of what actually reaches you. What matters: it follows the chain from an event, a port closure, a rule change, a supplier warning, to the companies you own. When it matters: you hear about it as it happens, not at the next quarterly review. Why it matters: every finding comes with its evidence, so you can check each step.
Who is Clargus for?
Hedge funds looking for the connections competitors miss. Asset managers and family offices covering more of the portfolio across a team. Portfolio managers and analysts keeping their theses current. Independent investors who want to know what matters to their investments without reading everything. Traders who want the signals behind the headline. Research creators building a verified record and an audience.
Strategies
How Clargus keeps working for the way you invest.
What is a strategy?
Your mandate, in the terms you already use: what you go long and short, the sectors and themes you cover, your holding horizon and your exposure limits. For example, long AI infrastructure suppliers on a 6 to 18 month horizon, no more than 5% in any one name. Clargus turns it into research that keeps running, with its own portfolio and a record of how it performs. Each strategy is made of:
Automations. Precise research processes that run the same steps in the same order every time, on demand or on a schedule. Check the output once, then trust every run after.
Discovery recipes. Open-ended research that starts from what is happening in the market and picks each next step from what it just found. Saved as a recipe, so it can run again.
Its brain. The strategy's memory. What it holds and why, the ideas it is testing, and what you keep or dismiss. It learns your preferences from every interaction and finds conflicts between your decisions inside the strategy. Every run writes back to it.
Portfolio and watchlist. The positions the strategy holds and the names it watches. One portfolio per strategy keeps its performance record clean.
Theses. The ideas the strategy is testing, each with the assumptions it rests on, re-checked as evidence arrives and marked as holding, weakened or broken.
Reports. What every run produces, cited research as memos, decks, charts or spreadsheets.
You describe your approach in plain English, and the Clargus agent builds the strategy, keeps it running and improves it over time. You can build several strategies, each with its own brain and portfolio.
What is the difference between an automation and a discovery run?
An automation runs the same steps in the same order, every run: check the output once, then trust every run after. It suits work you want done exactly the same way each time, like a weekly check or a recurring report. A discovery run starts from what is happening in the market today and picks each next step from what it just found. It is for finding what nobody searched for.
What is a building block?
One unit of research, from pulling a single filing to tracing a pattern across the whole market. Both automations and discovery runs are built from more than 1,000 of them, and an automation you build can itself become a building block inside a bigger one.
What is a strategy's brain?
Every strategy has its own brain: the memory its processes run on. It holds what the strategy owns and why, the ideas it is testing, and what you keep or dismiss. It learns your preferences from every interaction, and it finds conflicts between the decisions you make inside the strategy. Every run writes back to it, so the next one starts where the last one ended. That is how a strategy compounds.
Does my strategy keep working when I am not?
Yes. Automations and discovery runs can run on a schedule, every day or every week. Each run produces theses and reports, and over time your portfolio reflects their cumulative effect.
Using Clargus
What you do, and what comes back.
How do I work with it?
You talk to Clargus the way you would brief a colleague, in plain words. Ask a question and it researches it step by step. Write down why you own something and it re-checks the reasons as news arrives. Set up an automation once and it runs on schedule. Give it a starting point and it explores on its own.
What can I hand off?
Any research task. If it is a precise process you want done the same way every time, Clargus builds it as an automation and runs it on your behalf, on demand or on a schedule. If it is open-ended, creative research, Clargus runs it as a discovery that follows the evidence wherever it leads. Either way, you describe it to the Clargus agent in plain English, and it builds it for you.
What do I get back?
A cited answer, as a chart, memo, slide deck, spreadsheet or document. Every finding comes with its evidence, so you can check each step and decide for yourself.
What does one question look like, start to finish?
Ask "How would new chip export rules affect my portfolio?" Clargus reads the proposed rule, finds the companies it reaches including the suppliers your holdings buy from, checks their latest filings for revenue at stake, measures that against your positions and looks at how similar rules played out before. You get which holdings are exposed, through which connection, how large the exposure is and what to watch next. Then it keeps watching. (An illustrative run; real runs use your portfolio and current sources.)
Do I stay in charge?
Yes. Your team stays in charge of the research and the decisions. Clargus makes that research faster, wider and cumulative, working with the full context of your portfolio, your theses and the market around them.
Marketplace
Research with a verified record, both ways.
What is the marketplace?
Researchers build a verified record and sell what they make: strategies, reports, automations and discovery recipes. Funds and investors buy them, choose sellers by track record, and fold what they buy into their own process.
What is alpha capture?
For funds, the marketplace is alpha capture: sourcing outside ideas by proof, not by circle.
How are researchers ranked?
By how their calls actually turned out, not by followers. Every thesis and automation builds a history of what it surfaced and when, and that history is the record.
Do buyers have to share their positions?
No. Buyers keep their own positions and research private.
Privacy
What stays yours.
Is my research private?
Yes. Your memory is yours alone. It is not shared with other users and does not train anyone else's research. For a firm, it stays inside the firm, so the research trail becomes knowledge the team keeps.
Is Clargus investment advice?
No. Clargus is a research tool. Nothing on the platform or this site is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security.
